Bicycle Tour – Docklands to St Kilda and return

An increasing number of bicycle facilities have been implemented across Melbourne, in response to an increase in cycling as a commuting and recreational transport mode.  The development and implementation of appropriate and safe bicycle facilities for both on-road and off-road environments is an essential tool for those involved in transport planning and management.

AITPM and Bicycle Victoria are proud to present this annual bicycle tour, visiting various bicycle treatment sites across inner Melbourne.  The tour will give a “first hand” view of various bicycle treatments and will enable discussion of their relative merits with other users as well as with presenters from Bicycle Victoria.

The 20 kilometre return trip circuit will visit a number of bicycle treatments of interest through Docklands, South Melbourne, Albert Park and St Kilda.

The guided tour will commence at Docklands and end at St Kilda where refreshments will be served.  The event organiser will then lead a bicycle ride back to the starting point in Docklands
